I don’t know about where you live, but the weather in Belgium has been very sunny lately. Perfect to start thinking about Spring and try on some items of the new SS19 collection. I teamed up with Miss Red Lips retro boutique to give you an overview of some gorgeous pieces for your Spring wardrobe. They just received a massive shipment of several brands you can’t miss out on this Spring/Summer season.

Fairy princess

First up is this beautiful pink floral Ophelia dress from Lindy Bop. The Ophelia dress is of a polyester and elastane blend, providing stretch and, hence, a lot of comfort in wear. The floral border at the hem of the skirt fans out into smaller flower details all over the dress.

The dress features a gorgeous draped sweetheart neckline in a contrasting satin fabric. The dress comes with a white belt to accentuate the waist. Another, yet important detail: although invisible, the dress has pockets.

To top this look off, I’ve paired it with a this cute pink fascinator from Banned. I love how this fascinator doesn’t cover too much of your hairstyle, but adds a nice and sophisticated detail.

This is such a sweet look with some major fairy princess vibes. It would make a perfect princess-y outfit for a theme park like Disney or the Efteling.

Prints on prints

The next look contains two other lovely pieces from Lindy Bop. Hilde, owner of the Miss Red Lips boutique (you can spot her in some of the pictures), suggested to pair the Pyria skirt with the Willow top. First, I was a little hesitant, because prints on prints can quickly get too much. But I love the outcome and think this ensemble looks rather smart.

The Pyria skirt features a cute bookshelf print. Which reminds me of the library scene in “Beauty & the Beast”. It’s an ideal novelty print if you’re a book fanatic or when you’ve just had enough of the standard floral prints. The Willow top in this stripy blue print has buttons all the way down and a little collar for an added detail.

This is a great outfit for a relaxed day out or for clothing shopping – a separate top and bottom makes it easier to try on clothes.

Tropical vibes

With temperatures starting to rise, the tropical vibes are not far off. That’s where this summery jumpsuit from Banned comes in. The Paradise jumpsuit is of a breezy mustard fabric, with little to no stretch – so keep in mind when choosing your size. The print is covered with palm leaves, tropical flowers and birds, that all blend in harmoniously.

The jumpsuit features a modest V-shaped neckline. It comes with a contrasting red ribbon to accentuate the waistline.

To finish this look off, I’ve added a little white hair flower, like the florals in the print. Hair flowers like this are great to dress up any outfit. Now you’re ready for a tiki party or a sunny walk at the beach.

Last, but definitely not least, is this va-va-voom Lucinda Rose dress by Hearts and Roses. The dress is a cream cotton and elastane fabric with big red roses all over. The dress is A-line shaped and the skirt fans out down the waistline.

The real details go to the bodice of the dress. The straps attach to a necktie, which closes with a button on the front. There is a decent amount of cleavage, but not tacky at all. This gorgeous neckline actually feels very Marilyn-like.

I think this would make a great Summer evening outfit and it will definitely turn some heads.

I want to thank Hilde and her husband Mark from the Miss Red Lips boutique. I had so much fun trying on these pieces from the new SS19 collections and shooting in the boutique was a whole new experience for me and my trusted photographer that is my husband.

I hope you liked this little shopping list for the coming Spring/Summer season. If you live in Belgium, all these ensembles are available to purchase in a range of sizes at the Miss Red Lips boutique in Genk. Definitely go check them out for a cozy shopping experience and give them a follow on Facebook or Instagram to be up to date when new items are coming in! If you’re not in Belgium, you can acquire some of these items either via the brands’ websites or via retailers like Top Vintage and Succubus.

  1. Fabulous post, Stella! These outfits look gorgeous on you! And I love the setting for this photoshoot! Were these taken at the Miss Red Lips boutique? Wherever they were taken, seeing them is making me seriously long for a trip to Belgium! Especially since right now my city is currently in the middle of our umpteenth snowstorm of the year! 😂

    1. These pictures were indeed taken in the boutique, a whole new experience for us. The weather in Belgium is actually not so good as wel, seems like Spring has to wait a little longer.
