Graciously glam – Grace Glams

The days are slowly getting longer again and the sun peaks through every now and then. Spring is around the corner! In my vocabulary this means: time to take out those bright colours! Talk about colours,  fun prints and textures and you just described a blossoming brand, I just recently discovered and would like to introduce to you today.

Grace Glams is a young US-based accessories brand. Grace, the talented lady behind this brand, specialises in designing and handcrafting playful headbands with matching earrings. Furthermore, Grace handpicks ready-to-wear jewellery to make your look complete.

I was lucky enough to receive one of her staple headband & earrings sets  as well as a jewellery set, which Grace selected just for me, for review.

I want to start off with the headband & earrings set, as I think this distinguishes Grace Glams most from any other accessory brand. Being a devoted headband-wearer herself, Grace felt it was the natural next step to build her brand around this piece of hair adornment. I received a headband with polkadots in a daring chartreuse colour. When I opened the package, I immediately fell in love with the vibrant colour, but I will admit I was a bit hesitant too at first. I’ve always wanted to try out this colour, but it’s a rather rare colour to find and can be even harder to style. Or so I guessed.

By choosing a white polkadot fabric for the headband’s sides and keeping the bright chartreuse focused to the bow, Grace really nailed this design. The polkadot pattern doesn’t overpower the playful effect of the bow, but rather complements it, while adding a playful effect. The rhinestones in the middle of the bow are another detail I really like – ‘cause you know, I’m always in for a some bling.

The headband wraps at the back, making it adjustable to your own size and offering multiple styling possibilities. For this shoot, I’ve chosen to wear it like a regular headband. But you could also wrap it around your ponytail or adorn a hat with it.

When wearing multiple accessories, trying to harmonize the colour scheme can sometimes be tricky. Therefore, the matching earrings that come with the headband are just so thoughtful and just really testify of Grace’s eye for detail. The headband and earring sets come in a wide range of colours and patterns and retail at $25-$28.

Apart from the wide collection of staple handmade headband and earring sets, Grace Glams additionally offers carefully selected fashionable jewellery sets. Grace picked out a beautiful green jewellery set for me.

The jewellery set consist of a necklace and matching earrings. The set is of an elegant timeless floral design, ideal for vintage gals as well as more contemporary fashionistas. I like how the 3 different shades of green add dimension to the pieces, and at the same time make it so versatile to combine with many wardrobe items. The individual items can be worn separately for a more casual look, but of course the beauty of this set comes to its full right when worn all together  – so glam! This particular necklace set is available in several colourways at $19.99.

I guess you could say the overall theme of Grace Glams are what Grace herself calls “the 3 C’s” : cute, classy and chic. The bow headbands are just so adorably cute and fashionable at the same time, while the necklace set has a timeless, sophisticated look. With Grace’s experience in beauty and fashion, she carefully selected these gorgeous items to match my vintage aesthetics. But Grace Glams has something to embellish any type of person with any kind of style, true to her motto to “complete any outfit one accessory at a time”.  Definitely check out their website if you’re looking to glam up your outfit.
